A recipe for your self-isolation: healing chicken soup

Ingredients

1 whole chicken

2 HEADS garlic, all cloves peeled and whole

Fresh ginger (chopped; I like a lot)

Fresh herbs: marjoram, thyme, sage, dill, basil

2 whole lemons (cut in half and seeds removed)

Two or three carrots (chopped)

Two celery sticks (chopped)

Kosher salt to taste

Ground pepper to taste

Farro

To Prepare:

Put all ingredients except the farro in a large stock pot filled with water. Cook on a low heat for a long time, letting your house fill with aromas.

Cool. Remove chicken bones and skin. Leave some meat for the soup. Make chicken salad with the rest.

Reheat the soup with farro.

Eat for days.
